The medium salary for new grads in $26.82 not $40 an hour. What world are you living in? Good luck finding a job that will pay you bet. $40-$55 an hour in this economy!

And if you ask me, dental hygienists don’t exactly kill themselves either and don’t think their worth no $40 – $50 anyway.

This is in response to the ad placed by Grand dental (not sure if that’s the name but glance at the ads)

Hygienists; especially new grads don’t take this type of CHEAP compensation to be a slave.

This is not a practice that will ever value or respect you. Instead they will work you to the bone and pay you half of what you are worth.

Don’t let these dentist drag our going rate of $40-$55 an hour down by taking this job.

We are worth every penny! Why? because we produce on average $1200 dollars a day for them. (even NEW grads)

To the dentist that placed this ad: you get what you pay for; a revolving door of new grads that get a little experience and LEAVE.

Award Dental is looking for a dental hygienist part time. The days and hours can be flexible. If you have another job, we can schedule around your other job. Our office is open six days a week and on some evenings. The pay is based on an hourly rate. We will pay you one hour for each adult prophy that you do and one hour for each quad of root planing that you do. If you finish in less than 1 hour, you will still be paid for the 1 hour. If you do 2 quads of root planing in 1.5 hours or less, you will still be paid for 2 hours. However, if there is a cancellation, you will not be paid for that hour. When that happens, you don’t need to stay at the office and do work. Our office is conveniently located in a strip mall next to Target, Top Foods, some women’s clothing stores. We have multiple computers with internet access. So when you don’t have a patient to work on, you can go do some shopping, do some personal things or play on the internet. So the pro is we can schedule around your other job and your availability. The con is you will only be paid when you are treating patients.
